Introduction of Engineering Floor

       Engineering Floor is real wood product. It has two kind of products. The majority of Engineering floor is combined by three layers. But for the Italy brands of Itlas and Garbelotto, they are combined by multi wood layers, which is much more expensive. Usually, Engineering floor is much more stable than Laminate. For the different temperature in Hong Kong, it would not be shrinkage or deform. And it would not reveal any gap along the edges, and no tilting and pop-up. On the plank, there is a Matt Lacquer layer on top of it so that it would not be stained by any coffee, red wine, etc. Anti-UV function. Also in high humidity day, the plank still remain dry and cool. Certificates are provided.

       The disadvantages are: Not waterproof, easy to leave scratches, may leak at the edges and causing swelling.



       For three wood layers, we offend separate them into Surface Layer, Core Layer, and Stabilizing Layer. The Core Layer and the Stabilizing Layer is usually made by pine wood or oak wood, and it is not an option for you. The Surface Layer is optional for you to choose, it includes the color, and the texture. However, the Surface Layer is usually made by oak wood. For the flooring installation, we have Floating Installation and Nail System. Floating Installation uses the foam sheet to pave on the floor, and then install the planks on top of it. But Floating Installation is usually applied on Laminate. The reason that Engineering Floor adopts Floating Installation is because of the plywood layer is not thick enough for Nail System, and may cause damage by nail through the brick at the bottom. And Floating Installation requires the planks have lock to link up the planks. Therefore, the lock like BKB Parquet that use T&G lock would not be allowed for Floating Installation.



       In fact, Nail System is usually applied on Engineering Floor. Nail System would be more stable, when the nails attach into the plywood. Therefore, it would not be pop-up or remove of its original local due to the temperature difference. For the installation procedure, the specialists would install a plywood layer on the ground first, and then they would install the planks one by one on top of the plywood. They would nail down the edge of every plank. Therefore, the flooring would be much more stable.

       Engineering Floor would have formaldehyde no matter of three layers or multi-layers. The manufacturing process has to use some formaldehyde. However, for high grade class of Engineering Floor would have very low formaldehyde so that it is warranty for your health and environmental concerns. In general, we have Europe certifications for all the European flooring products. Even BKB Parquet, which is imported from Malaysia, also has very strict quality control from Singapore. And the certification from Singapore is provided.

BKB Parquet, which is Engineering Floor, is imported from Malaysia. BKB is adopted a very strict quality control by Singapore so that it is guarantee. Also, Apple store is using BKB flooring product for all their shop floor decoration. BKB is well known and accepted by most of the people. Pan Parket, which is Engineering floor, is imported from Croatia. They offer six different colors and textures. It is including Alpin, Castle Brown, Rusty, Shadow, Cream, Sand. This is the Europe product. Europe standard is usually regarding as first class standard so that Pan Parket is guarantee. Other details are discussed above so that here would not repeat.





        Ter Hurne is a Germany Flooring Manufacturing company. They have Laminate and Engineering Floor products for sales. For Engineering Floor, they have a lot of different collections. But the quality is not as good as Europe products and BKB Parquet. Therefore, the price is cheaper than Europe products and BKB Parquet.
